A stunning example from Gibson’s Custom Shop, this 2013 Les Paul Standard ’59 Reissue captures the feel, tone, and aesthetic of the most iconic electric guitar ever made. Finished in a beautifully graduated Dark Tobacco Sunburst, this R9 shows off its figured maple top with depth and character that look fantastic under stage or studio lighting.
Built with the classic maple top / solid mahogany body combination and a long tenon mahogany neck, this R9 delivers the warmth, sustain, and harmonic complexity that made the original ’59s legendary. The ’59 neck profile is full, rounded and feels great to play.
This example is equipped with its original CustomBucker pickups, known for their clarity, sweetness, and vintage-inspired responsiveness. The guitar excels across the board: articulate cleans, dynamic edge-of-breakup textures, and singing lead tones with excellent sustain.
Condition is excellent, showing only very minimal signs of careful use. The dark burst finish has aged beautifully, with rich colouring and a classic vintage vibe. Hardware, electronics, and frets are all in perfect working order, and the setup delivers smooth, effortless playability across the neck.
