1974 Marshall Lead and Bass 50 Model 1964

1974 Marshall Lead and Bass 50 Model 1964

A mixture of the lead and bass circuit voicing specifications, the amp came in a head and combo version, the combo favoured by Paul Weller. Classic Marshall tone with plenty of volume on tap.
Cosmetically this head is in great condition. There are marks to the tolex but its free of tears and there are no extensive sections of wear. The piping is unbroken and the small logo is correct though a section has been repaired.
The metal front is in excellent condition with only slight damage to one digit.
Internally there doesn’t seem to be any changes as you can tell by the plethora of red ink marks on the solder joints. Drake transformers look to be correct and in good condition.
This is a great sounding head, which will come as no surprise I’m sure. Plenty of those classic tones on tap with enough volume to keep up.
Maybe more under the radar than other Marshall amps, this head will still get you to tonal nirvana. Grab it before it gets away…
