2004 Hofner Jazzica custom, Natural

2004 Hofner Jazzica custom, Natural

A less common model from Höfner, the Custom Jazzica combines the traditional German take on Archtop guitars with a distinctly modern approach. Designed as a versatile instrument rather than a direct vintage reissue, it offers a unique alternative to more familiar jazz and semi-acoustic designs.

Constructed with a fully hollow body, the Jazzica has a lively, resonant acoustic character that translates beautifully when plugged in. The highly tapered body is incredibly comfortable to play, and sacrifices no tonal depth- acoustically the guitar is warm, resonant, clear and loud enough to cut through even unplugged. The floating mini-humbucker delivers a broad tonal palette, producing warm, rounded clean sounds while retaining plenty of clarity and definition.

The neck has a lovely, quite wide D-profile, fast but not too slim, while the distinctive body shape and elegant appointments give the Jazzica a character all of its own without compromising comfort or balance. Included are the foam f-hole inserts, used to reduce feedback when amplified at volume.

Presented in excellent condition, with only one slight dink in the lacquer on the top next to the control knobs..

A distinctive, well-built German semi-hollow that offers something a little different from the usual big-body jazz box formula, with excellent craftsmanship and a broad, usable range of tones.
